4 Ways to Make the Twin Flame Work More Fun

If you ask any Twin Flame, chances are they're going to be primed and ready to tell you all about how hard this journey is, how painful the feelings are, and how much they wouldn't wish this on their worst enemy. 

When you're going through the tough spots, it really does feel like that sometimes! 

However, even in the hardest moments... we can work to bring more fun. And this journey isn't for your worst enemy, it's something you soul picked for you. So while bringing in joy doesn't guarantee things won't also be challenging or painful... it will guarantee that you're having the best time in the process. And when I think about my version of Union, it includes going through the rough patches together... but also being able to laugh about it at the same time. So, with all things Twin Flame, why not start with yourself?

Here are my four tips for making your Twin Flame journey more enjoyable. 

1. Prioritize the tools and work that bring you joy. If you hate meditation, meditation probably won't help you get to inner union. If you can't stand sitting down with a journal, there are probably better ways for you to still achieve the same outcome that journalling provides. You don't have to do things that don't resonate with you just because they've been put on a pedestal by other people on the journey. What's more important is you find things that fit and suit you. Think about your hobbies and interests, and apply them to the Twin Flame work. Maybe you process by going for a hike or tending to your garden. Or maybe you want to write a story, paint something, or dance to some music as a form of Twin Flame work. The world is your oyster, so chose what feels good!
   
   
2. Find the glimmers and flow moments. In all areas of life, there are positive things happening. We can focus on the negative, or we can focus on the positive, but whatever we focus on has a tendency to grow. There's something magical about being on this spiritual journey, having your guides show up for you, your dreams filled with messages, all the synchronicities you find along the way confirming your connection or leading your way. Romanticize the spiritual journey, how cool is it that your soul mapped all of this out for you, and allow that to bring more fun and joy into your work. If you know that this is the playground your soul set up for you, how would you look at it differently?
   
   
3. Don't limit the Twin Flame journey to just the shadow work. It's a super common thing for Twin Flames to focus solely on the healing and growing they need to do to get to Union. They think about all the blocks that are keeping their Twin Flame running from them, and they focus in on that work. You can go deep drudging up some shadows, and that's super important, but so is dancing in the light. When we want our Twin Flame to give us their best self, it helps when we also cultivate our best self. You having fun, knowing who you are, being connected to friends, and living a happy and full life is part of the Twin Flame work. Include that in your definition of the work and then you won't be left thinking it's all this heavy lifting. The heavy lifting is still there, but give yourself a better balance!
   
   
4. Place more value in the growth then the destination, and then trust the destination is going to come anyways. Contrast can make us feel unhappy. When we want something we don't have, it bothers us. I'm all for wanting Union and wanting your Twin Flame, but I also think that if that's your only goal for this work, you're going to have a bad time. Learn to find the joy and the fun in self growth. Learn to find the joy and the fun in the progress, in the adventure, in the journey. You're going to reach your destination, it's inevitable, so what kind of mindset can you nourish to make the process of getting there just as special? Because let's face it, you'll never get this time back, why not make it great?!

The Twin Flame journey is going to be crazy and intense, but it doesn't have to be devoid of any joy. Start cultivating that joy today, and I guarantee it'll make the transition into Union so much easier when the time comes!
